Electrician - Electrical Testing Engineer - Qualified Supervisor (QS)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrician to join our well-established Fire, Security, Electric Locksmiths, and Plumbing company based in North London as our Electrical QS&PDH

The Role:

This role will involve full-time office-based QS responsibilities along with PDH duties. You will conduct quality assurance checks for the team and be responsible for submitting EICRs, Part P, and other necessary certifications on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all electrical work complies with current British standards.
  • Act as one of the company’s QS.
  • Estimate jobs.
  • Provide training and development for new electricians as the department grows.
  • Oversee the inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures for the company.
  • Help expand the team by managing subcontractors and PAYE staff as the company scales.
  • Handle both residential and commercial electrical work.
  • Address and challenge poor-quality work by engineers and subcontractors.

Salary & Package:

  • Salary based on experience and qualifications.
  • Monday to Friday (specific hours to be confirmed).
  • Overtime opportunities: TBC.
  • Company mobile phone and laptop for business use.
  • 21 days of holiday (pro-rata).

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working as an Electrical QS and PDH.
  • Strong skills and qualifications are necessary to excel in this role.
  • Relevant qualifications such as:
  • City & Guilds 2394 & 2395 (or 2391) Testing and Inspection,
  • City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 (or Part 1 & 2),
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition IET Regulations BS7671, trained to the 18th 2nd Amendment.
