Legra BrewTap & Kitchen will be a unique, landmark destination venue with the best beer and food offer in Essex. We want everyone we hire to be as passionate as we are about craft beer and street food.

We are an establishment born of two strong independent brands - Black Circus Food and Leigh-On-Sea Brewery - and our mission is to bring a new and exciting drinking and dining experience.

We are dedicated to beer and street food and want to educate and share our knowledge. We will support and guide you through honing your skills and knowledge, including gaining qualifications in the industry and developing your career into new roles.

Legra BrewTap & Dining Ltd is a Limited Company owned by Black Circus Catering Ltd and Leigh on Sea Brewing Company Ltd together with some smaller shareholders. There are four Directors Keir Black and Luke Circus from Black Circus and Ian Rydings and Gabrielle Rydings from the Brewery. It will operate from Legra BrewTap & Kitchen and day to day management will be delivered by a full-time General Manager reporting to the Directors and we anticipate appointing a full-time Assistant GM reporting to the GM. There will also be hourly paid roles in both front of house and in the kitchen.

Head Chef

At Legra Tap and Kitchen, we will be serving up an exciting street food menu, along with weekly specials. As Head Chef your role will be vital in running a fast paced, busy and creative kitchen. This role will be given the opportunity to grow within the company, taking on more responsibility as they progress.

ABOUT YOU

You will:

  • Be professional in attitude and keen to be part of an enthusiastic team, committed to serving great food and drink in a vibrant environment.
  • Be capable of leading a passionate kitchen team, providing training, and mentoring where necessary.
  • Experience heading up a kitchen team is essential.
  • Experience with stock management, and supplier liaison
  • Be focused on creating dishes with consistency and quality whilst maintaining a busy and fast paced kitchen.
  • Food Hygiene Level 3 is essential
  • Experience running multiple events.
  • Take pride in the dishes you produce and ensure theyre delivered to a consistent high standard and on time.
  • Knowledge of Craft Beer is desirable but no essential, however you should be excited about the prospect of learning.
  • Have a passion for street food and be excited to create new dishes.

Terms and conditions

We will be flexible in setting your hours, working with you to determine when and how many hours you would like to work. Rotas will be agreed at least one month in advance.
