An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Contracts Manager as part of SGN's Procurement & Supply Chain function.
Reporting to the Lead Contracts Manager the role will support SGN's Mains Replacement Programme through the development, implementation and ongoing management of post-award contract management processes and procedures.
Focused primarily on the management of key third-party contractors, the role will also support across a range of projects as required.
I help to keep people safe and warm by

Managing the contract lifecycle, including performance of allocated third-party contractors.
Supporting the operational onboarding of contractors, as well as the implementation of agreed performance regime/governance.
Advising on all post contract commercial matters including compensation events, variations, and disputes.
Promoting safety and safe working practices both internally and externally to improve safety performance.
Supporting stakeholders through effective identification and management of contractual/commercial risk.
Enabling the development of relationships between contractors and internal stakeholders.
Supporting the ongoing development and implementation of SGN's post-award contract management processes and procedures.
Supporting the wider Procurement & Supply Chain team in the drafting of contracts, management of sourcing activities and development of category management plans.
What you'll need

A Procurement background, or relevant experience/qualification in Contract Management, Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, Accountancy or Legal.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Contract/Commercial Management or Procurement role.
Extensive knowledge of relevant conditions of contract.
Experience of drafting, interpreting, and delivering frameworks/contracts.
Knowledge of cost/budget management, and contract administration.
Awareness of the processes relating to sourcing and procurement strategy.
