Job Title: Mid-Senior Computational Biologist Location: Flexible (Remote/On-site)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Computational Biologist specialising in bioinformatics to join our team.
In this mid-senior role, you will play a key part in leveraging computational methods and tools to analyse biological data and uncover insights that drive our research efforts.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and execute bioinformatics analyses on genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic datasets.
Develop and implement computational algorithms, pipelines, and tools for the analysis and interpretation of biological data.
Contribute to the design and optimisation of experiments, providing expertise on data collection, processing, and quality control.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in bioinformatics methodologies and tools, evaluating their applicability to our research projects.
Degree or equivalent in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, or a related field.
Proven experience in bioinformatics analysis, with a strong understanding of genomic, transcriptomic, and/or proteomic data analysis.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl, and experience with bioinformatics toolkits and libraries.
Solid understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques applied to biological data.
Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis and familiarity with relevant bioinformatics tools and databases.
Competitive salary of £70,000 per annum.
