Role: Financial Reporting Accountant - Financial Services (FX Brokerage) - Based in Mayfair, London
Cedar are recruiting for a Financial Reporting Accountant position to join a high growth FX Brokerage, based in Mayfair London. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to an impressive Group Financial Controller and will take the lead on all the Group regulatory reporting (in line with the FCA), audit processes and be heavily involved in the risk strategy and analysis.
Responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Accountant:
Coordination and management of the quarterly and annual external audits of the Group companies, being the point of contact and responsible for issue resolution during that time.
Prepare the interim and year-end financial reporting timetables, monitor progress and drive action to deliver against key milestones and ultimately completion of the annual report and accounts.
Preparation and review of working and technical accounting papers for external auditors
Ownership of accounting processes and related accounts disclosures, for example goodwill, going concern and related parties.
On an ad-hoc basis, take the lead on technical reporting issues, assessing the impact of new accounting requirements.
Maintain a detailed and up to date knowledge of all matters related to UK GAAP and IFRS and other relevant regulatory accounting requirements.
To carry out investigations and such other duties as may be required including ad hoc project work.
Supporting the finance team in month end closing and financial analysis.
ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
Excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of relevant UK Accounting Standards
Hands on experience in regulatory reporting inside a Financial Services business
