Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Director to join the team.
Location: Newport
Salary: £90k - £110k - dependent on experience
Job Type/Hours: Full-time/Permanent
About The CompanyOur client is a well-established organisation who are at the forefront of manufacturing transformers and other electrical products to a variety of industries such as automotive, aerospace and defence, and renewable energy. With a £5m turnover, they value delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction, environmental sustainability, and are leading the way as an expert in their space.
Technical Director - The RoleThis is a pivotal role for the organisation, responsible for consolidating relationships with their major accounts alongside leading the business into new markets. The successful individual will have full P&L ownership of the site with full control of their manufacturing and production activities.
Technical Director - Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic direction and leadership across the site to drive company profitability and growth
- Oversee the manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production operations while maintaining high-quality standards
- Be involved with all commercial activities including conversations with senior stakeholders with their key accounts alongside providing input into the company's strategy to enter new markets
- Manage the financial performance of the manufacturing operations and analyse financial data to identify areas for improvement and long-term sustainability
Minimum 10 years' experience working within a manufacturing environment
Strong commercial background with the ability to build long-term relationships with customers
Highly strategic individual with proven experience in developing business strategy
Ideally have previous experience operating within a technical/engineering role
