Spinnaker Support is a leading and trusted global provider of Oracle and SAP third-party support. Spinnaker Support customers get more comprehensive and responsive service, save an average of 62% on their annual maintenance fees, and can remain on their current software releases indefinitely. A rising number of our third-party support customers are utilizing incremental services we provide. We remain the only third-party support vendor to deliver application managed services, technology managed services and consulting when customers prefer to consolidate with a single vendor. They trust Spinnaker Support to keep their enterprise applications running at peak performance while helping them navigate from on-premise to hybrid to cloud.

The Security Services Architect will be part of a team whose members on average have more than 20 years working with Oracle technologies. This team's core responsibility is guiding clients on implementation of security best practices as it relates to Oracle products. This role will be expected to contribute to defining and delivering Spinnaker Support’s approach to security within the 3rd party support and managed service markets. We are looking for individuals that have experience working in large organizations that utilized manage services.

Requirements:

  • 20+ years experience working with Oracle technology.
  • 12+ years experience as Oracle Applications DBA
  • 5+ years experience in a large client facing role
  • Security or hardening experience; Security certified preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong technical and leadership skills to drive results with proven multitasking capabilities in a team environment
  • Actively participate in developing complete solutions to complex security support-related issues and requests
  • Manage, scope and execute security projects for support, services and consulting
  • Be resourceful in working with team, look for new ideas, processes to help the team work more efficiently.
  • Work closely with managers from other teams and regions in supplying services, support and consulting resources within the security domain
  • Ability to work well both independently and with a core support team without close supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, work with and liaise between customer core team members (users, management, IT), internal support team members (management, sales and support) and other contractors
  • Strong service-oriented customer engagement, team leadership and pre-sale support skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and issue/project management skills
  • Familiarity of the security architecture across multiple deployment platforms (network, firewall, computer, storage, database and application)
  • Understanding of common network topologies and their application to security mitigation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to understand and document details for complex solutions
  • Solid organizational and consultative skills
  • Goal oriented with high standards for quality and performance.
