Job Title: Security Architect (SAP)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days in office)

Office Locations: Swindon and London

Rate Payable to Contractors: £500- £525 per day

Duration of Assignment: 6 months

Role Description:

As a Security Architect with SAP expertise, you will be instrumental in ensuring the security and integrity of SAP systems and applications within the organization. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect sensitive data, prevent unauthorized access, and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business departments and IT stakeholders to design and implement effective authorization concepts for SAP systems.
  • Administer SAP roles and analyze user access to ensure compliance with segregation of duties (SoD) policies.
  • Produce detailed threat models after reviewing technical design documents.
  • Review and input security into solution architecture and high-level designs.
  • Advise and consult with development teams on security matters.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and use of approved patterns.
  • Conduct fit/gap analysis to identify security gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Understand critical access restrictions and audit compliance requirements for reports.

Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Relevant professional qualification (or working towards certification), such as Security+, Network+, CISM, CISSP.
  • Experience working with developers, understanding their problems, and providing security guidance.
  • Ability to assess the security elements of technical designs/solutions and constructively challenge them to deliver better business and security outcomes.
  • Experience in assuring and advising on secure systems design.
  • Strong grasp of application security issues, familiar with OWASP Top 10 and API security.
  • Knowledge of SAP basics, especially from the standpoint of migrating legacy systems (preferably Mainframe) to SAP.
  • Understanding of SAP security concepts and best practices.
  • Good knowledge of cryptography.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD topics and methodologies.
  • Developed understanding of risk and control methodologies and practical risk assessment experience.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in UK Financial Services or similar highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge/experience of PCI-DSS, including PCI-P qualification.
  • Knowledge/experience of data privacy and GDPR.
  • Understanding of best practices for large financial organizations.
  • CISM, CISSP certification preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
