JLA is driven by a world class Sales & Marketing engine, owns and maintains all assets, and has an efficient on-site operations team working with daily with customers.

Role overview

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team – you must be keen to learn, analytical, inquisitive and have excellent attention to detail.

As a Trainee Finance Analyst you will be joining a dynamic, supportive and influential team. We are a trusted and valued team and we pride ourselves in getting involved, working with the business to understand and improve performance.

We are open to considering a variety of backgrounds, but a mathematical and analytical mindset is essential.

We will invest in you for the long term, to ensure you reach your full potential. You must want to learn and develop both personally and professionally, to build a career that works for you. A study support package would be offered towards a professional accountancy qualification.

Key tasks

· To assist with the preparation of regular and ad hoc performance reporting, showing trends and performance versus budget

· To support the Commercial and Operational finance teams

To support the Sales Team with pricing requests

· To support with the weekly flash sales and KPI reporting

· To maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and internal customers, ensuring a first-class service is offered

· To operate at a level that represents the function and culture of the business

· Other ad hoc duties as and when required

Knowledge and Skills (what you know and what you can do)

  • Good basic Excel skills and a desire to learn more
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Especially MS Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Power BI

  • Able to demonstrate working as part of a team
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Experience of working to deadlines
