The VCCP Partnership is an integrated communications agency set up in 2002 by Charles (V), Rooney (C), Adrian (C) and Ian (P), who founded the agency on the principles of simplicity, collaboration, un-preciousness and integration around ideas rather than channels.

Our work transcends the marketing mix, leading everything from social media or launch campaigns to DM and web build.

We also provide very senior strategic planning for clients, customer journey mapping and helping clients to envision their future business, beyond just communications.

The Senior Data Strategist will be a vital part of the customer team at VCCP. Working with a team of data, customer experience and customer engagement specialists, they will be responsible for developing, proposing and delivering data projects for both prospective and existing clients.

We are looking for someone with strong experience developing end to end data strategies to drive customer engagement experience, with an inquisitive mind and an eye for detail. A data strategist who is able to determine the optimal solution for a client based on a business problem. They need to have the ability to know when to bring in other data specialists, be it analysts, channel specialists or technical experts.
Most importantly, they need to be able to develop relationships with clients that mean they are trusted as a partner in developing the marketing and data driven strategies needed to evolve the business.
At VCCP we focus on removing unnecessary jargon and complexity, and the data strategist needs to be able to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, and be able to explain complex data solutions in a digestible and understandable manner. Manage client relationships on core data clients and partner in developing and delivering a strong data driven marketing plan where the customer is central to the business
Develop the strategy needed to implement customer first transformation that clients are looking for, ensuring the roadmap is action oriented and deliverable
Hands on creation of presentations, writing briefs, product specifications and document deliverables
Spotting data opportunities within existing clients, developing proposals and conversion into projects
Provide data strategy support on new business pitches
Create data storytelling - where the results shown are not just a spreadsheet of numbers, but a cohesive story that demonstrates effectively what the recommendations are and why they matter


Extensive experience of working in an agency/client side in a senior data strategy or data planning role
Proven experience in developing strategy roadmaps that help a business move from siloed to customer centric
Proven experience in managing and partnering senior clients and multiple stakeholders.
Understanding and strategic development of measurement and performance as critical foundations to improving processes and maximising the impact of deliverables
Extensive understanding in the development of marketing strategies/life cycle management using CRM, Business Intelligence and analytics capabilities together to deliver increased performance and program efficiency
Solid understanding of data, platforms and databases with experience of briefing analysis projects and working with analysts to produce recommendations and insight that drive client agendas
Understanding of data governance, policies and client data ecosystems
