ASR International is currently assisting an international Market leader in filling a key appointment within the Key Accounts team. We are looking for a Key Account Director to take on a dynamic and challenging leadership role, overseeing a select client base of National Merchant accounts, including one of the largest clients in the business. These accounts play a crucial role in the company's turnover.

You will have the responsibility of nurturing and developing relationships and strategic partnerships with these key accounts. Collaborating closely with the external sales teams, you will ensure full support for the strategic plans tailored for these accounts.

As an integral part of the Sales Management team, you will contribute to shaping the overall sales strategy. Working alongside other key stakeholders in the business, you will be involved in delivering and communicating strategic plans internally, ensuring the company is well-equipped to deliver top-notch service and drive growth for these accounts.

As the primary point of contact for these key national partners, you will manage substantial budgets and identify growth opportunities. Through close coordination with regional sales teams, you will ensure alignment with agreed plans for local delivery. This will involve leading, managing, and motivating the Merchant Sales teams to meet and exceed targets.

Applicants for this role should have a successful track record in a similar Key Account Manager, National Account Manager, or Key Account Director role within the merchant industry. While specific product or category knowledge is not mandatory, experience in HVAC, plumbing & heating, KBB, bathroom products, flooring, or similar fields would be valuable.

This role presents a significant opportunity for individuals well-versed in working with National Merchants. The ideal candidate will be commercially aware, an exceptional communicator, detail-oriented, and equipped with strong negotiation skills. This key position within the business offers substantial exposure and recognition. We are seeking a driven, ambitious, and adaptable leader with excellent leadership qualities. Experience with National Builders Merchants is vital, and ideally, candidates will be centrally based, given the national scope of the role. Travel to support the team, visit customers, attend meetings, and maintain proximity to our Warwick head office is essential.

Successful candidates can expect a highly competitive basic salary, a company car (ICE or EV), an attractive bonus scheme, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of the remuneration package.

ASR International specializes in Commercial, Operational, and Sales-based roles throughout GB, focusing on manufacturers and distributors in the bathroom, brassware, and sanitaryware sector. We primarily handle middle to senior appointments with salaries starting from £50,000.
