We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flow Assurance Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of various projects. Purpose of the Role: As a Flow Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing flow assurance analysis and technical support throughout different project phases. From Concept Select through FEED, Detailed Design, and Operations, you will manage flow assurance work scopes, coordinate with other disciplines and clients, and ensure consistency across projects. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing flow assurance proposals and supporting other development engineering activities for hydrocarbon and energy transition projects. Key Accountabilities:- Define activities required for each project phase to ensure accurate technical definition, including line sizes, insulation levels, surge capacities, etc.
- Manage flow assurance activities within project schedules and budgets.
- Gather input data and generate the basis for flow assurance work, collaborating with other disciplines to obtain necessary data and understand simulation outputs.
- Identify operating strategies and develop Operating Philosophies to mitigate flow assurance risks such as hydrates and slugging.
- Perform or oversee simulations to meet project requirements.
- Provide technical assurance for flow assurance work performed by others as part of larger projects.
- Participate in project reviews and workshops to evaluate and address risks.
- Follow QA/QC processes for flow assurance activities.
- Deliver flow assurance proposals and provide discipline input/review for multi-discipline tenders.
- Contribute to subsea field layouts, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, etc.
- Maintain strong client relationships by ensuring regular updates on technical progress.
- Work independently and as part of a team to understand client needs and recommend development solutions.
- Proficiency in managing flow assurance issues using industry software packages such as PIPESIM, OLGA, Multiflash, and PIPENET.
- Experience in modeling subsea systems effectively using industry-standard software.
- Strong analytical and judgment skills to develop innovative solutions.
- Solid understanding of oil and gas field thermodynamics.
- Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to guide others in structuring reports to convey key findings effectively.
- Collaborative team player, capable of working effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Optimistic and open-minded approach to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve project objectives.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and solve complex problems.
- Culturally aware and able to adapt to different work environments.
- Skilled in coaching and mentoring less experienced engineers.
- Engineering degree at the Masters level in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer certification preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in flow assurance and development engineering, with a focus on FEL 1 and FEL 2 studies.
