Lead the orthopaedic service, managing a diverse caseload including cruciate repairs (TPLO/CCWO, with opportunities to upskill in TPLO if primarily experienced with TTA), patella luxations, and simple to complex fractures.Perform surgeries and consultations, contributing to the high standards of care provided at our clinic.Support the continuous development of orthopaedic practices within the clinic, ensuring the integration of the latest techniques and treatments.
Qualified Veterinary Surgeon, ideally with a post-graduate certificate in small animal surgery or extensive practical experience in orthopaedic surgery.Confident performing advanced surgical procedures, particularly in TPLO, CCWO, and fracture management.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information to pet owners and collaborate effectively with colleagues.A commitment to professional development and a passion for veterinary excellence.
A competitive salary package ranging from £38,000 to £67,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.A comprehensive benefits package including:6 weeks of holiday plus bank holidays.Private healthcare and a 52-week sickness benefit following a qualifying period.Contributory pension scheme and paid RCVS and VDS fees.Access to counselling support including mental health, financial, and life counselling after 12 months.Cycle to work and E-Car schemes.Refer-a-Friend bonus.Full-time position with a 4-day working week and a shared weekend rota (2:9), along with participation in an on-call rota for inpatient care only.
