Birmingham, United Kingdom Nacro Full time €58,365

Senior People Partner

Job type: Full Time/ Fixed Term: Contract end date: 01/08/2025

Hours: 40 hours (including 5 hours paid lunch breaks)

Salary: £58,365 per annum

Location: Edmund House, Birmingham

Want to make an impact on organisational success and the people agenda in a mission-driven environment?

Nacro works with some of the most marginalised people in society, in desperate need of a second chance: young people who are not in education or employment; adults and families facing housing insecurity and homelessness, often because of complex needs such as mental ill-health, addiction/substance misuse, a background of abuse, trauma or relationship breakdown; and, people who have been involved in the criminal justice system.

You could be part of our amazing transformational journey as a strategic Senior People Partner to cover a 12-month maternity leave during a time of significant change . Our People and OD team - led by a new Director of People and Culture - is on a mission to build a culture and employee experience at Nacro that is worthy of the impact our people make for our service users and students every day.

You will have a primary focus on our Community Accommodation Service contract with the Ministry of Justice through which we support ex-prisoners to re-establish their independence and re-enter society. Key priorities for the next year include supporting substantial contract growth (c. +60%) and associated workforce and leadership development needs, development of our employer brand and recruitment practices, and driving improvement in our employee value proposition through initiatives related to pay and benefits, performance management, and continued investment in learning and development.

Our workforce are highly dispersed, supporting people in communities across England and Wales. We are working to make Nacro an ever more inclusive space for our diverse – and diversifying – workforce, because we know that diverse organisations perform better. Our people combine compassion with person-centred support skills and incredible resilience. They work in a high-challenge arena, and we are aiming to match this with a high-support environment.

The People and Organisation Development team are on a transformational journey to become more professional, data-driven/evidence-based/insight-led and outcome focused strategic partner to our management colleagues . Come and join us, and make your mark on our national charity, our people and OD transformation, and our service users.
