  • Permanent buyer working fulltime Monday to Friday 39 hours per week.

As a Buyer / Procurement Specialist / Purchasing Professional your key responsibilities will be:
  • Maintain the supply of key materials whilst monitoring market trends and supply chain strategies.
  • Negotiate/Purchase goods, materials, components, or services working globally with suppliers including America, China, and Europe to ensure that the supply of key materials is maximised through volume purchasing benefits.
  • Develop effective supplier strategies and long-term relationships to maximise supply chain effectiveness.
  • Provide analysis on costs and review cost reduction activities.
  • Collaborate closely with the procurement team to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare data for monthly performance reports.
Qualifications and required skills:
  • CIPS qualification or equivalent including part qualification.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with global procurement experience essential.
  • Team player who contributes effectively to team objectives.
  • Confident, professional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • IT skills including MS Office applications, Sage/SAP or similar and excellent attention to detail skills are essential.
