London, United Kingdom Sitetracker Full time

The opportunity:

Sitetracker is the leading provider of management and optimization solutions for critical infrastructure projects. Our innovative platform enables organisations to efficiently develop, construct, and operate projects in industries such as telecom, energy, and other emerging sectors. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Localisation Project Manager for our team to help drive our international expansion.

As a Localisation Project Manager at Sitetracker, you will be instrumental in our global outreach efforts. Working closely with the Localisation Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our localisation projects, ensuring that our services are culturally and linguistically adapted for target markets. This role requires strong project management, communication, collaboration skills, as well as a thorough understanding of localisation processes.

The Skill Set
  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, International Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in managing localisation projects, and relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Experience in promoting localisation best practices to vendors and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities with a strong focus on quality control and stakeholder communication.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Experienced in using Lokalise or similar Translation Management Systems.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; additional fluency in a second language especially in Spanish, French, German, Italian, or Brazilian Portuguese is highly advantageous.
  • Experience as a translator/linguist in the languages mentioned above is a major plus.
  • Demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for customer satisfaction across markets.
Within 90 Days, You Will:
  • Achieve certification in the Sitetracker platform, demonstrating a deep understanding of its capabilities and integration points.
  • Establish relationships with key internal stakeholders, including teams in engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success, to understand their localisation needs and priorities.
  • Gain proficiency in our Translation Management System, Lokalise, and become familiar with other essential tools used in our localisation processes.
  • Familiarise yourself with the existing localisation workflows at Sitetracker, identifying any immediate areas for efficiency gains or enhancement.
  • Initiate and lead the planning phases of at least two major localisation projects, applying best practices and insights gained from your initial training and stakeholder discussions.
  • Conduct an initial review of ongoing localisation efforts to identify and document areas for improvement, setting the stage for process optimizations in the coming months.
Within 180 Days, You Will:
  • Successfully manage and oversee the execution and monitoring phases of multiple localisation projects, ensuring they remain within budget and on schedule. Provide detailed reports on the progress and any deviations to stakeholders.
  • Implement at least one significant improvement in the localisation process, directly addressing the pain points and inefficiencies identified during your initial 90 days. Document the changes made and measure the impact on project efficiency.
  • Develop and begin implementing enhancements to our localisation best practices, aiming to improve the overall quality of localised content production.
  • Further strengthen and solidify relationships across key departments including Engineering, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. Coordinate regular feedback sessions to ensure the localisation efforts meet each department’s needs and expectations.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing vendors, ensuring they meet Sitetracker’s standards of quality and efficiency. Negotiate improvements or changes as needed and collaborate with the Localisation Manager to establish a regular review process for continuous assessment.
Within 365 Days, You Will:
  • Successfully completed several key localisation projects, demonstrating measurable improvements in efficiency and quality.
  • Demonstrate full mastery of our Translation Management System, suggesting and possibly implementing innovative uses or enhancements that significantly benefit project outcomes.
  • Deliver training sessions on localisation best practices to internal teams.
  • Address and resolve any gaps or deficiencies in localisation efforts identified during the first 90 days. Establish clear metrics for improvement and achieve these targets to enhance overall localisation efficiency.
  • Establish yourself as a key representative and advocate for localisation within Sitetracker. Actively promote and demonstrate the company’s commitment to adapting and customising solutions to meet the diverse needs of international markets.

About Sitetracker

Sitetracker was founded ten years ago with the singular focus of solving a problem that was first recognized within the telecommunications industry; how to effectively manage the volume, variety, and velocity of critical infrastructure projects needed to meet the demand of expanding wireless and cellular service. That problem has become even more pronounced due to the eventual explosion of 5G. Being able to effectively deploy infrastructure is going to be the differentiator between leading telecommunication providers.

However, over the years, we realised that this challenge isn’t localised to telecommunications – it’s pervasive nearly everywhere and has reached an inflection point. Utilities (such as gas and electric services), smart cities, and alternative energy all face similar challenges. Sitetracker is the only full-lifecycle project management platform suited to support these companies and address these challenges. We are exceptionally proud of the company we’ve built (we were recently recognized as the #2 place to work in San Francisco , as well as one of the top places to work in the entire United States). Our people are extraordinary and we’re continuing to invest in our people-first culture.
