Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper Start date: ASAP Location: Near Huntingdon Salary: Up to £32k Hours: ideally 37.5 per week (half hour for lunch) Monday to Friday – we can be a little flexible with hours and possibly offer part time - on site Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper looking for a dynamic role in a growing company? Look no further Our client is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join their team and play a crucial role in maintaining their financial records and supporting various accounting functions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. Manage debtor reports, chase outstanding payments, and update records in Sage 200. Reconcile company credit card statements on a monthly basis. Assist in processing supplier payments promptly and accurately. Prepare and update supplier turnover and credit limit reports. Maintain monthly control accounts and conduct variance analysis. Handle payroll responsibilities, including data collation and processing payments. Prepare monthly management accounts and analyze budget variances. Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for two property companies. Resolve queries from customers, suppliers, and colleagues in a timely manner. Person Specification: Essential: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Sage 50 or 200. Strong knowledge of HMRC tax and VAT reporting. Ability to prepare cash flow reports. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred: Part-qualified in accounting. Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, preferably in a manufacturing business environment. Experience in sales invoicing and management reporting.
