We are looking for a skilled Head of Finance to join our team and drive our financial operations to new heights.

Position Overview: The Finance Manager will be responsible for the overall financial operations and management of the business. This role involves oversight of financial operations, including financial reporting, management reporting, Buying and Merchandising reporting and statutory/tax reporting. It is essential that you have experience working within a multi-brand retailer beforehand and have a good grasp on the buying and merchandising side of business operations.

Key Responsibilities: 

Reporting

  • Wholesale trade performance reports
  • Weekly maintenance of the Weekly Sales and Stock Intake report
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts, including commentary and analysis
  • Preparation of weekly trading reports

Month end

  • Leading the end close, including journal preparations
  • Running depreciation and amortisation calculations
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Overseeing the reconciliation between our accounting system and Shopify
  • Overseeing the banking and merchant account reconciliations
  • Posting of accruals and prepayments

Cash flow management:

  • Prepare weekly rolling cash flow forecasts
  • Preparation of weekly payments

HMRC

  • Preparation of Quarterly VAT Returns for UK & Ireland
  • Liaising with outsourced payroll in relation to PAYE & NIC Returns

Bank and Data Entry

  • Entry of transactions onto the Netsuite system
  • Payment of weekly payment run
  • Weekly bank reconciliation

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant – CIMA, ACCA or ACA. 1-2 years PQE
  • Demonstrable experience in finance, with experience in a managerial role.
  • Strong financial accounting skills preferably in an e-commerce / stock environment
  • Strong Finance systems skills with proficiency in NetSuite, Shopify and Microsoft Office Suite.
