We’re on the hunt for a talented Insurance Commercial Account Executive who uses their knowledge and experience of the Insurance Industry to build strong, trusted, and profitable client and customer relationships. So, what does the role of a Senior Account Executive here involve?
This role will be made for you if you love fostering relationships and helping clients find the right Insurance products to fit their needs. Our Account Executives are excellent at tailoring their approach, working with clients face to face, on the phone, in writing or via video calls to offer a comprehensive service to existing and potential new clients. Our clients will need your support all year round and then there are those all-important networking and prospecting activities that will help you to build and develop your portfolio as you go.

This is an office-based role, at least until probation is passed, following which hybrid working will be offered with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Manage your own client bank and areas of responsibility, so that a positive contribution is made to achieving Company sales forecast, plans, programmes and budgets.
To work closely with the Commercial Manager and the Commercial Director, ensuring a high level of liaison with, and understanding of, their requirements to maximise customer satisfaction.
This will include issuing instructions to Accounts Department for relevant financial transactions to be completed
Assist customers in initial reporting and subsequent negotiation with insurers of a satisfactory settlement of claims.
Provide risk advice/risk management/risk prevention information on both Commercial Motor and Non-Motor risks to customers, in conjunction with Underwriters as appropriate.

What experience do our Account and Development Executives need?
It’s essential that you have experience gained from within the Insurance Industry ideally in a commercial lines broking role as you will be offering a complete commercial lines experience to new and existing customers. You will need to have knowledge of the law of agency, the Data Protection Act, credit management procedures, FCA Regulations for dealing with retail customers and money laundering legislation.

Next, we need you to be proactive, analytical, use your initiative and show us your entrepreneurial spirit to identify opportunities to retain and grow our business.
An enthusiastic team player, support others, build trust and have a positive outlook, be engaging, collaborative and have the resilience to adapt to whatever changes come your way.
Engage active listening skills, be willing to learn and recognise when to ask for support or guidance.
