Crypto Options Trader

Salary Range: £95k - £145k + Bonus

We are actively seeking a Crypto Options Trader to join a growing European based Asset Manager / Trading firm. You will be joining a growing team of traders and engineers as they look to continue their success in existing markets as well as entering new ones. You will be joining a team who have the sharpest minds in the trading industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Options Trading: Execute options trades across various cryptocurrency exchanges, including buying and selling options contracts based on market analysis and trading strategies.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor cryptocurrency market trends, news, and developments to identify trading opportunities and risks associated with options trading.
  • Risk Management: Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses, including position sizing, setting stop-loss orders, and managing portfolio volatility.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement options trading strategies tailored to the cryptocurrency market environment, including delta-neutral strategies, volatility trades, and arbitrage opportunities.
  • Trade Execution: Execute trades efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely order placement and execution in accordance with trading strategies and risk parameters.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage options positions, including portfolio rebalancing, assessing profit and loss, and optimizing portfolio performance.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with research analysts, developers, and other traders to develop and refine options trading strategies, analyze market data, and stay informed about market trends.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on trading performance, including profit and loss analysis, risk metrics, and key insights for senior management and stakeholders.
  • You will be expected to cover weekends, evenings, and US time zones, as crypto markets are 24/7. Do not apply if this is an issue

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of options trading principles, strategies, and market dynamics.
  • Knowledge of cryptocurrency markets and digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other major cryptocurrencies.
  • Previous experience in options trading, cryptocurrency trading, or financial derivatives essential.
  • Previous experience with RFQ
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, Python, or R.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced trading environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Understanding of risk management principles and trading strategies specific to options trading.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing cryptocurrency trading is a plus.
