Anson McCade is partnering with a leading consultancy who specialise in digital transformation and innovations across a range of industries in the United Kingdom as they seek to appoint Java Software Engineers.

As a Java Software Engineer you will possess expertise in software development, encompassing advanced Java programming principles, modern Java 8+ features, and the entire lifecycle of application development.

The Java Software Engineer will:

Design and develop robust web applications using industry-standard MVC frameworks and dependency injection techniques for modularity and maintainability.

  • Apply advanced object-oriented programming (OOP) principles in Java to design, develop, and implement scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Utilize Java 8+ features, including streams, lambda expressions, and functional interfaces, for efficient and modern code practices.
  • Design and develop robust web applications using industry-standard MVC frameworks and dependency injection techniques for modularity and maintainability.
  • Implement parallel processing and resource sharing to enhance system performance
  • Implement unit and integration tests using frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito etc.
  • Conduct automated testing using Selenium, Postman, and other modern tools
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Maven, Ansible, and Kustomize.
  • Ensure robust hosting and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Autoscaling

Experience required for the Java Software role include:

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Java software development with leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience in cloud environments - AWS, Azure, GCP etc
  • Experience with framework and libraries including Spring
  • Extensive experience in the specified technologies and tools.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and deliver complex software solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
