I am working with a growing housing association in the East Midlands who are looking to recruit a Development Lead in their New Business team. You will oversee the entire new development process from identifying land opportunities to executing contracts , delivering high-quality housing to meet evolving customer demands and in line with their company vision.

This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in new business development and real estate. The perfect candidate will have excellent negotiation skills, a keen understanding of market trends, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering high-quality housing solutions, this position will suit you well.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess site suitability and review new business opportunities to ensure they meet financial and design standards.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver new schemes aligned with corporate objectives.

- Support and mentor the Assistant Development Officer/Graduate Partner in their development.

- Manage the approval process for new investment opportunities, property disposals, and regeneration initiatives.

- Oversee project budgets, maintain financial control systems, and ensure timely funding claims.

Experience

- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role ideally with a RP / Housing Association

- To be knowledgeable with section 106 & packaged schemes

- Experienced in contract negotiation

- Have used some from of financial appraisal software

Salary circa £50k with opportunities for career progression.
