has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a well-established law firm based in the picturesque town of Launceston, Cornwall. If you excel in building strong client relationships, managing a diverse caseload, and working collaboratively in a supportive team environment, this role could be the ideal next step in your legal career.

Private Client Lawyer Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on matters related to Wills, Inheritance Tax planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Court of Protection, Deputyships, and Estate Administration.
  • Draft tailored documents and letters to meet clients' specific needs and objectives.
  • Negotiate and secure agreed outcomes with clients and other professionals.
  • Oversee the successful implementation of agreements and coordinate involved parties.
  • Supervise and mentor trainee solicitors and legal assistants.
  • Stay current with legal developments through ongoing professional training (CPD).
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service.

Private Client Lawyer Requirements:

  • You will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years' PQE
  • Proven experience in Private Client Law, including expertise in Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief claims (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities and adaptability.
  • Drive and enthusiasm for the private client sector.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and the SOS document management system (advantageous)
