This full-time, permanent position is based in the vibrant community of South West Lincolnshire and is perfect for seasoned MSK physiotherapists or early-career FCPs/extended scope practitioners aiming to enhance their autonomy and expertise in primary care musculoskeletal healthcare.
The selected candidates will not only engage in clinical practice but also participate in a supportive pathway towards achieving NHS Englands FCP Roadmap verification. This role offers a unique aspect of 20% non-clinical working time, allowing for the development of projects that further the advancement of MSK services.
Your Role:
Initiate or continue postgraduate academic professional development relevant to the FCP role.
Exhibit superior communication skills and uphold the highest levels of professional accountability.
Function autonomously within a multidisciplinary primary care team, contributing positively to a supportive MSK FCP environment.
Efficiently manage a varied caseload of patients with both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
Utilize advanced clinical reasoning to effectively triage, assess, differentiate, and diagnose musculoskeletal issues.
Conduct joint and soft tissue injections safely and effectively, following appropriate training.
Guide patients to suitable further clinical investigations as needed.
Assist patients at the initial contact using digital exercise prescription software, promoting self-management.
Adhere to and exceed current quality standards and statutory regulations to meet and surpass performance indicators.
Participate in project initiatives that align with personal professional interests and contribute to the overarching goals and innovation within the MSK service.
Your Credentials:
HCPC registration as a Chartered Physiotherapist with substantial experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
Willingness to engage in the NHS FCP Roadmap verification process if not already completed.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a deep commitment to providing top-tier patient care.
Proficient in basic office software and capable of quickly adapting to new technologies.
A proactive, collaborative team player who is also capable of independent practice.
Detail-oriented with a steadfast dedication to maintaining high clinical standards and patient confidentiality.
Strong organizational skills to ensure efficient task management and caseload handling.
