Workshop Manager – Job Description Core Objectives The overall responsibility for the development, performance and maintenance of all of the production of the organisation to produce smooth and efficient production and delivery solutions, maximising performance & profitability against pre-agreed targets. High priority to establish process in line with ERP/MRP requirements, with final assessment of WinMan as our preferred system option. Establish reliable lead times and robust planning processes, to ensure product is manufactured on time and in full. Agree factory plan to include workflow best practice and required equipment to achieve it.Main Tasks/duties and responsibilities Responsibility to staff and direct the team: Responsible for the development, performance, and maintenance of the production of the organisation to produce efficient production and delivery solutions, maximising performance & profitability against pre-agreed targets. Ensuring that the team understands that the organisation’s profits are reflected in all its activities – including relationships and risk management. Responsibility for compliance with legal/statutory requirements, professional duties, responsibilities, and other obligations including insert ISO etc. Responsibility to adhere to budget and plans to maximise profitability. Meet your targets and those of the team and organisation as a whole. Smooth running of the team and organisation as a whole Contribute to training and development of the team and organisation as a whole. Achieve maximum profitability and growth in accordance with organisation plans. Comply with all requirements, including statutory obligations, as directed by the Board of Directors.Day to day responsibilities for the team as agreed with the Board of Directors to include: Manage and monitor the overall performance of production to increase efficiency and maximise performance and profit. Effective liaison, support and assistance between all departments of organisation Maintain and improve mechanisms for measuring activities and disseminate feedback to the appropriate internal entities. Develop and utilise systems to manage activities, functions, analysis and documentation. Development of production, include customer management, to achieve satisfaction targets. Subject to agreed criteria, recruitment, training, set action and targets, appraise, and manage performance, development, coaching and general support of all team members to ensure targets are met. Reporting (content and format as agreed) monthly or as otherwise required. Developing plans for team and organisation activities to include strategy to achieve targets. Delegate authority and responsibility to the team with supervision, accountability, and review. Maintain accurate records. Control expenses to meet agreed budgetary controls. Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures. Interact and co-operate with all members of the organisation, its suppliers, and clients/customers. From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role even where these fall outside of your own department/team. You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with the Board of Directors. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organisation generally.Essential Abilities/ Competencies of this job role qualifications sufficient to perform the job role minimum 5 years experience in this type of job role thorough understanding of production processes, management obligations (including statutory obligations), requirements and dynamics using computer software as applicable experience of production management and control at a senior level leadership with ability to drive a team project management skills ability to work under pressure full driving licence
