Summary of Role The role will be situated full time on site (Deeside) delivering a large architectural package for our valued client, and involve strategic planning, resource management, and ensuring project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As the Senior Project Manager you will lead project teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements throughout the duration of the project. You will be responsible to our Head of Projects.
Project Planning and Management :
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle.
Ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
Lead and manage project teams, including site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other staff.
Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and provide guidance and support.
Maintain regular communication to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment.
Quality Assurance and Control :
Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards and project specifications.
Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Risk Management :
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety :
Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and building codes.
Facilitate safety inspections and address any safety concerns immediately with the site teams.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, reports, and records via our Project Management system Procore.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports to Amspec Senior Management team.
Ensure all project documentation is completed in line with our operational standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
SMSTS
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and building codes.
