Paid to Teaching Scale | Permanent Opportunity Sept 2024 | Weekly CPD Sessions Key Duties and Responsibilities: Teach the sports curriculum across the age and ability range Accountable for the quality of teaching and learning and students' progress and attainment of timetabled classes Set high expectations for standards of teaching, learning, conduct and relationships, and model good practice Plan, and deliver engaging learning activities that are differentiated to meet the needs of all students, and that stretch and challenge students to achieve their potential Set and mark homework in line with the Academy homework policy Responsible for a tutor group Responsible for target setting, tracking, monitoring student progress and achievement of own classes Ensure effective assessment for learning, consistent recording and reporting of students' progress and the effective use of assessment data Monitoring of progress and standards of attainment through analysis of performance data in line with the academy's assessment cycle Liaising with the school SENCO around the progress of children with EHCPs Candidate Requirements: QTS and relevant PGCE certificate Experience teaching a range of sports and physical activities at KS3 and KS4 Experience delivering KS4 examination content Ability to manage challenging behaviours Passionate about teaching and keen to ensure students make consistent progress If you feel you would be the right fit for this role, then please apply through submitting your CV.
