Doctors Direct, part of NHS Professionals, in conjunction with Chase Farm Hospital, have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist (PICU) to work with us full-time, part of the soon to be formed North London Mental Health Partnership Trust.
Devon Ward accommodates 12 male patients and primarily caters to the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey. Dorset (mixed gender), Sussex (male), and Suffolk (female). The ward boasts an exceptional Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) comprising medical professionals, nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other specialists.
Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and developing management plans, as well as ensuring the safe prescription of psychotropic medications for service users. Moreover, the Consultant will demonstrate a solid understanding of managing patients detained under the Mental Health Act, including the management of restricted patients.
