A rare opportunity has arisen, for an inspirational and enthusiastic Finance Director to lead the Finance team within a successful College group across their two sites Redhill & South Croydon site. The role of Finance Director will involve managing a diverse range of funding streams, interpretation of the funding methodology and managing the associated accountability and risk management. The successful post holder will ensure the timely production of key reports, including (but not limited to): Annual strategies for procurement and value for money, projects, payroll, statutory accounts, detailed budget and associated returns and claims. You will also lead on implementing measures to improve efficiency in transaction processing and the effective use of finance systems. Salary: circa £64,965 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience) Location: Redhill and South Croydon sites Benefits: Staff pension scheme, life assurance, free parking and access to their fully equipped gym along with discounted in-house Spa and Salon treatments. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 5.00pm The successful candidate must:

  • Full Accounting Qualifications (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Substantial experience and knowledge of all aspects of finance, including; management and financial accounting, producing monthly management accounts, year end statutory accounts and audit documentation.
  • Have excellent IT knowledge, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • Team management experience with a number of direct reports
  • Experience of finance within the education sector is highly desirable
  • Knowledge or understanding of the financial and regulatory framework affecting further education
