The Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate copywriter to work on all Sarah Chapman online and offline marketing. The successful candidate will own all copywriting across the business, covering web, press, in-store, email, paid and organic social copy and more. A key element of the role will be upholding the brand’s tone of voice, ensuring consistency across all mediums.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for skincare, a deep understanding of the luxury beauty market, and a flair for writing persuasive content that resonates with our audience. They will be able to turn around beautiful, on-brief copy that is factually and technically accurate, with the ability to convey the exclusivity and sophistication of the Sarah Chapman brand in every piece of content.
They will be adept at picking up the Sarah Chapman tone of voice and adapting it to different media types and copy lengths. This includes short copy for in-store materials, SEO, banners; social first copy for paid and organic social media; as well as long copy for emails, the brand blog and press releases.
The role will also include responsibilities within the Marketing Team, such as supporting with press-related requests, creating brand presentations and liaising with external agencies. The successful candidate will have confidence in working within a founder-led brand.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Display strong copywriting ability across different media, including emails, website content, (paid and organic) social media, blogs, in-store marketing materials, press, and product descriptions.
- Brand Voice: Ensure all copy reflects Sarah Chapman London's brand voice, maintaining consistency across all channels and alignment with the brand’s DNA and mission statement.
- Creative Concepts: Develop creative concepts and messaging for campaigns, new product launches and seasonal promotions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, design, social and ecommerce teams to understand overarching brand objectives and create tailored messaging and compelling content strategies.
- Editorial Excellence: Proofread and edit copy to ensure grammar, punctuation, and style are impeccable, aligning with the brand’s tone and ethos. Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
- Market Research & Social Listening: Stay up-to-date on industry trends within the skincare, beauty, and luxury sectors to inform brand’s content strategies and drive engagement. Share monthly trend reports with team.
- Customer-Focused: Write with the target customer in mind, crafting messages that speak to their needs, desires, and aspirations, leveraging insights from social listening and current customer trends.
- Copy Optimization: Produce SEO- and keyword-optimised content to improve search engine rankings while maintaining high-quality, natural-sounding writing.
Experience
- Proven experience as a copywriter, ideally within the luxury skincare, beauty, or fashion industries.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with immaculate attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of brand storytelling, customer-centric marketing, and how to craft messaging that connects emotionally with an audience.
- Experience writing for different channels, including web, social media, and email.
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines.
- Creative mind, proactively contributing ideas for creative campaigns and new launches.
- Strong understanding of the luxury (beauty)industry and an appreciation for high-end products and services.
- A deep understanding of luxury customer behaviour and how to craft messaging that appeals to high-net-worth individuals.
- A genuine passion for skincare and wellness, with a desire to communicate the benefits and values of Sarah Chapman products.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and how to create content that drives organic traffic.
- Confidence in working within a founder-led brand.

This is a hybrid role with one day working from home and 4 days working in the office located in Chelsea, London SW3.
