The ECT: Completed a PGCE with Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) by September 2024. At least a bachelor’s degree in education, or a related subject. Genuine passion for the education of primary school pupils. Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of young learners. A warm and welcoming personality and a clear communication style. A dedication to improving the progress and attainment of KS1 pupils. The Role As a KS1 ECT, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that span across all aspects of the national syllabus. You will assess and mark pupils’ classwork to monitor and track progression levels and to identify any additional learning needs that can be accommodated via the adaptation of learning materials. It is essential in this KS1 ECT role, that you build strong relationships with both children and staff; to achieve this, you will enthusiastically partake in activities with the wider school community. In return for your hard work, the teaching staff and senior leadership team that you will be working alongside will endeavour to provide you with in-depth support and guidance as you complete your KS1 ECT induction.
