Receptionist - Veterinary Receptionist

Calling all animal lovers Do you love spending time with animals as much as you do with customers?
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to every pet and every client - yours will be the first face to greet them after all. As well as looking after the reception area and ensuring a great welcome for our clients, you’ll be handling payments, processing repeat prescription requests and managing appointments.
You’ll need to be organised, friendly and calm in an emergency, with great customer skills and a genuine love of animals.
40 hours a week and some weekends based at the Alfreton practice.

Ensure the practice is ready for opening and closing, managing tills and card machines, alarms, voicemail, and systems.
Ensure appointment slots are available for clients to book online.
Carry out reception duties, greeting clients on arrival, and updating records.
Be an advocate of the Medivet Healthcare Plan, and complete relevant sign-up documentation with clients.
Ensure online practice information is up to date, with accurate opening hours and current colleagues.
Excellent client facing and reception skills.
Experience of working as part of a team and building positive working relationships.
Experience in using online appointment booking systems.
Administration skills and experience
Previous veterinary receptionist experience.
Social media/website content management.
