Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for a passionate early-careers specialist with deep apprenticeship expertise and the drive to create outstanding experiences for emerging talent. You’ll bring strong knowledge of funding, safeguarding, pastoral care and programme design coupled with the confidence to influence stakeholders across a large, decentralised organisation. The Opportunity This is a pivotal role within our Early Careers function. Reporting to the Head of Organisational Development, you will act as MSI’s apprenticeship subject matter expert driving improvements across our existing provision, developing new career pathways, and helping us progress toward the We Invest in Apprentices: Gold Standard . You’ll work closely with the Early Careers Business Partner - Graduates, People Development, Social Value teams, training providers, and local pastoral leads to deliver a consistently excellent and inclusive apprentice experience. What You’ll Do Pastoral Support & Apprentice Experience Design and embed a consistent pastoral support standard across MSI Provide expert guidance on apprentice performance, placements, wellbeing and safeguarding Deliver training for line managers and pastoral leads Create opportunities for apprentices to connect, network and support community initiatives Develop an induction standard and a personal-skills L&D offer for new talent apprentices Collaborate with the Graduate BP to create a clear pathway between degree apprenticeships and MSI’s graduate programme Programme Design & Workforce Planning Work with Head of Organisational Development to identify skills needs and talent pipeline gaps Develop “core” apprenticeship programmes that offer high-quality, scalable solutions Support local teams in designing bespoke apprenticeship pathways where required Ensure all prerequisites for success are in place before launch of new programmes Training Provider & Funding Management Implement a robust process for provider selection, contract management and performance oversight Consolidate and strengthen relationships with strategic training providers Act as a super-user for MSI’s levy account, advising on funding rules across England, Scotland and Wales Provide second-line support for provider and contract queries Data, Reporting & Governance Work with People Admin to develop accurate reporting and dashboards Monitor performance and progression at apprentice and cohort level Use data to drive early interventions and continuous improvement Support governance forums with insight and recommendations Social Value Alignment Lead collaboration between Early Careers, Social Value, and Work Winning team Ensure local projects’ Social Values commitments align with apprenticeship and talent pipeline opportunities Support quarterly workforce and Social Values pipeline reviews Other Key Responsibilities Advise Talent Acquisitions and external partners on apprentice recruitment Lead National Apprenticeship Week activity and identify further opportunities to promote Morgan Sindall Infrastructure’s offering Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead for apprentices What We’re Looking For Deep expertise in apprenticeships including funding, pastoral support and provider management Experience designing inclusive, high-quality early-career programmes Strong knowledge of safeguarding and a commitment to best practice Understanding of employment law relating to apprentices across the UK Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills Confident facilitator, communicator and relationship-builder A collaborative mindset and passion for continuous improvement Comfortable working at both strategic and hands-on delivery levels What’s In It For You A rare opportunity to shape the future of early talent in a national infrastructure business Supportive networks, purposeful work and the chance to make a measurable impact Development opportunities across organisational development, workforce planning and strategy Flexibility in how and where you work A culture that values integrity, inclusion and innovation Apply now to help shape the next generation of talent at Morgan Sindall Infrastructure.
