Steel Fixer x 2 We are looking for 2 Steel Fixers for an 8 week assignment to help build a number of small-medium structures on a site near Andover. Project starts 7th May & you will need to commit for the entire time. Pay Rate: £220 - £240 a day Hours: 7.30am - 5.30pm Location: Andover Duration: 8 weeks Job Role:

  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the required layout and dimensions of rebar.
  • Cut and shape steel using tools such as pliers, wire cutters, and rebar benders.
  • Place steel in the correct position and secure it using wire or plastic ties.
  • Weld or bolt rebar pieces together as required.
  • Assist shuttering carpenters with form work or pouring concrete depending on the site size and staffing
  • Ensure that all rebar is installed to the required standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to ensure that the project is completed on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Steel Fixer
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Must possess CSCS card
  • Strong knowledge of rebar installation techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a construction environment.
