Electronic Systems Engineer G&H St Asaph

This position is based at our Optical Systems Innovation Hub in St Asaph, North Wales and focuses on electronic system design and development of new imaging and sighting systems for Aerospace & Defence. You will be working with colleagues across the business including product management and business development to support new commercial opportunities as well as operations, supporting technology transfer to manufacture. Assist development of electronic solutions for a range of electro-optical products utilising FPGA, digital and analogue electronic hardware and software.
Provide electronic systems engineering inputs from concept to manufacture and test
Assist with requirements capture and specification definition, sensitivity analysis, reliability analysis as required
Interfacing with and managing output from sub-contractors
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and perform electronic design, analysis and test
Prepare presentations and reports to a high standard for all phases of the project
Work with Business Development and Engineering teams to support new opportunities and generate solutions for customers

Bachelor’s degree level in Electrical and/or Electronics engineering, 2:1 or better
Demonstrable knowledge in digital and analogue signal processing, and video processing.
Analogue electronics design experience
Create and maintain technical documentation that supports the product development process including product specifications, manuals and end user instructions
Positive, flexible approach to working with a ‘can do’ attitude

Firmware development experience, C, (C++, C#, Python advantageous)
Demonstratable knowledge in digital and analogue video processing
Experience of production test planning for electronics.
