FPG are recruiting for a contractor to join our client project. We are looking to hire an experienced Data Center Construction Manager for a 6 month extendable contract outside IR35).
This will be a 6 month extendable position, mostly based on site in Reading area.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of data center construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to plan and execute construction activities effectively.
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and addressing any issues or delays proactively.
Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, safety compliance, and quality control.
Manage contractor relationships, negotiate contracts, and resolve any disputes or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize construction processes and minimize costs.
Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders, providing regular updates and recommendations as needed.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on data center or large-scale commercial projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from conception to completion, meeting project objectives within budget and schedule constraints.
Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
PMP or CMIT certification is a plus.
