Creditsafe are expanding their Data Cloud team, the new backbone of data delivery in Creditsafe. We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer experienced in testing cloud-native software systems. This role is ideal for someone that is able to support and encourage the team to work collaboratively, injecting quality thinking and practices into every stage of the software development lifecycle.

This opportunity is to join an Agile team of solid engineers, who are redesigning Creditsafe data platform with high throughput and scalability as primary goal. The data delivery platform is being built upon AWS redshift and S3 cloud storage. The platform expected to manage over billion objects along with daily increment of more than 10 million objects while handling addition, deletion and correction of our data and indexes in auditable manner. Our data processing application is entirely based on Python and designed to efficiently transform incoming raw data volume into API consumable schema. Team is also building highly available and low latency APIs to enable our clients with faster data delivery.
The wider Quality Assurance function within Creditsafe work together in driving a culture of quality into the teams acting as knowledge experts on quality. We test throughout the lifecycle and believe that the whole team is responsible for the quality of our deliverables. Collaborate with the Agile team throughout the Sprint to produce valuable test scenarios and respond to new information.
Be an advocate for quality and actively promote this within your team and the wider development community in Creditsafe.

Carry out functional, non-functional and acceptance testing in-line with the test strategy and processes.
Work closely with their Agile team to promote a whole team approach to quality.
Manage and coordinate regression testing as part of the development cycle.
Be the quality specialist within your Agile team, advocate for the appropriate levels of testing and take the initiative to make improvements.
Document approaches and processes that improve the quality effort for use by team members and the wider test function.
Have strong practical knowledge of software testing techniques and the ability to select the correct technique dependent on the problem at hand.
An understanding of performance testing strategies and how to apply them.
A good understanding of Agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of ATDD, BDD, Unit testing, Integration testing and Acceptance testing
An ability to read and write Python code suitably optimised for automation. Practical understanding of AWS Cloud services, with good knowledge and experience of servierless and cloud-native solutions.
A practical understanding of RESTful APIs, and experience with API testing using a tool such as Postman.
Practical experience of exploratory testing.
An understanding of performance testing strategies and how to apply them.
Practical experience of modern testing frameworks (Python preferred).
