An innovative company, established in 2021, is dedicated to commercialising next-generation electric motor technology and intellectual property for the emerging electrification aerospace market. Their technology is at the forefront of delivering both hybrid and all-electric propulsion solutions in sectors such as Urban Air Mobility (UAM), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and General Aviation (GA).
The company's ultra-high-performance, low-weight axial-flux motors and power electronics are not only smaller and lighter but also more robust and safer than competing technologies. They operate from a new 39,000 square foot facility in Oxfordshire, equipped with engineering labs, custom test and validation facilities, and the manufacturing capacity to produce up to 20,000 units per annum.
In this role, you will lead the department ensuring that electric propulsion systems meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability. Oversee the execution of tests, including setup, data collection, and analysis.
*Manage the maintenance and calibration of testing equipment and facilities.
*Analyse test data and prepare comprehensive performance and reliability reports.
*Identify and implement improvements in testing methodologies and equipment.
*Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with testing activities.
*Interface with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with aerospace regulations.
*Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors of testing equipment and services.
*Deep understanding of aerospace engineering, propulsion systems, and testing methodologies.
*Project management experience, particularly in aerospace projects.
*Strong commitment to safety and quality assurance.
*Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to draw meaningful conclusions.
*Experience in risk assessment and management.
*Ability to manage budgets and prioritize projects.
*Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
*UK driving licence and ability to travel.
