The role:

Forming part of the firm’s wider wealth planning practice, this firm is looking to appoint a Tax & Trusts Executive to be based in their Bristol office.

This firm has a top-tier private client practice that caters to clients with diverse assets who require complex succession planning and wealth protection arrangements. A large percentage of the work comes from generational clients who use the firm for ‘cradle to grave’ legal services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trusts Executive who will be responsible for the following duties:

  • administering a portfolio of trust on behalf of trustee clients
  • ensuring that trust income tax returns as well as capital gains tax and inheritance tax filings are scheduled and completed over the course of a tax compliance season
  • preparing annual trust accounts for your portfolio of trusts
  • conducting general trust administration for the wider team and corresponding with trustees and other professional advisers
  • Prepare and submit FATCA, CRS returns, TRS filings and complex estate filings
  • Prepare trustee minutes and resolutions
  • Quarterly review of trust fund investments and reporting to trustees on the same

The ideal candidate:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in personal tax (including tax compliance) and trust administration
  • An understanding of accounts practices and Inheritance Tax
  • STEP, ATT or ACCA or similar qualification is desirable
