This is a full-time site-based role for a Section Engineer based in Bridgwater, Somerset. The Section Engineer will manage junior engineers and assist the Sub-Agent in construction operations, personally demonstrating a positive culture including key values & behaviours of Safety and Quality.
Note that shift patterns are required for this role in a 10 on, 4 off pattern, working hours 12 noon to 22:30.
Regular communication and reporting to multiple stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of projects, including coordination of subcontractors.
Conduct site evaluations, develop Health & Safety and Quality documentation, provide technical expertise, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
People management including junior engineers, site engineers, sub contractors and operatives.
Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in a Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
~Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice.
~ IT skills including MS Office and AutoCAD 3D
~ Due to the nature of the work and location, a BPSS level of security clearance is necessary.
CSCS, SMSTS, TWS or TWC
BIM / Digital including planning software (P6, Aphex, MS Project)
