The Lewisham Older Adults Day Service is responsible for the Calabash Centre's lease and use. As part of this, we rent out our halls to the community outside of operational hours. In order to ensure that the building is accessible to the community, there needs to be a member of staff on site during all bookings. We are looking for pool workers to help support with this. A day in this role looks like…. As a Pool Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Older People service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence. A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are: Supporting the wider community to use the hall outside of operational hours (9am-5pm). Unlock the building, allow access and prepare it for the hirers, be present on reception during bookings to greet and support hirers, as well as securing it after they have left. Ensure that the hall and attendees are safe during their use of the facilities, as specified in their contract. Help keep the building safe during bookings, including supporting service users to evacuate in the event of a fire. Why Hestia?
