My client is based in Stoke on Trent has an exciting opportunity for a ne Senior Quantity Surveyor. The company projects focus on refurbishment, and new build of industrial projects on a nation-wide basis. The company prides its self on the quality of service that has resulted in sub-contractors coming back time and time again
Oversee the cost management process for Industrial projects from inception to completion, including budget estimation, cost planning, and cost control.
Conduct accurate quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) based on project requirements and specifications.
Manage the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, including payment certifications, variations, and claims management.
Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts, and financial statements to track project expenditure and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Identify value engineering opportunities to optimise project costs while maintaining quality and performance standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment on cost-related matters.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks related to cost, providing proactive solutions to minimize potential impact on project delivery.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices to uphold the quality and integrity of project cost management processes.
Senior Quantity Surveyor - Position Requirements
Masters degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Industrial sector.
In-depth knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost management techniques, and construction contracts within the Industrial industry.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and financial information.
Strong leadership capabilities with experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
