REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company.

To join a flexible welding & fabrication team, includes duties; weld repairs of machine dies for forging process, production stub welding for the re-melting process, welding lifting lugs on material for the vacuum induction melting process, general site repairs & providing assistance to the maintenance team. The forge tool welding includes assessment of worn tools, removal of worn material as required via milling or burning operation and weld repair using the prescribed MMA (STICK) / TIG processes. The stub welding process includes MIG welding a profiled stub to an electrode that is used within the re-melting process. The maintenance assistance to include various types of weld preparations, welding and weld finishing operations to internal customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Proficiency in Gas, MMA, MIG & TIG welding techniques
Interpretation of mechanical drawings
Candidates from a TOOL & DIE/CASTNG WELDING REPAIRS background would be highly advantageous.

The position includes a quarterly bonus of up to 10% OTE of £3,504
