Cranfield Bedfordshire, United Kingdom AiQ Consulting Full time

In this exciting position at a growing worldwide airport consultancy, you will be analysing big data and developing models to support client’s effective decision-making and driving strategic delivery of consultancy. Clients include London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and other airports worldwide such as Schiphol, Budapest, GMR Hyderabad International, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted and Bristol.
As airports grow again after the Covid Pandemic and become capacity constrained, we model the movement of passengers, baggage, vehicles, and aircraft analysing future demand and capacity, operations, resilience, new automation technology and new IT. Reporting to the Technical Director the role will be to develop and support our in-house simulation tools known as TransvisionAiR® which has been principally developed in Python and XML. It will also require a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Access, Visio, and Visual Basic. In addition, you will be required from time to time to support a team of Airport Analysts and Airport Planners in the delivery of client projects.
Experience of Airport operations and processes is not required as full training will be undertaken against a comprehensive induction programme lasting 9-12 months.
You will be able to use your skills in a highly creative team and will have real accountability and responsibility. With appropriate security clearance you will be working Airside at LHR to gather a ‘hands on understanding’ of the systems and testing your models in the ‘real world’.

Our unique Airport Intelligence gives the big picture as well as highly detailed insights and analysis.
We have expertise in airport planning, simulation of systems, applied mathematics, engineering, architecture, airport operations and stakeholder management. Our bespoke modelling and simulation software TransvisionAiR® is at the heart of our business.
