Xander Catering Ltd. is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to oversee our catering operations at the Terminal 2 Upgrade Project site. As the Head Chef, you will lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences to the staff working on the terminal 2 upgrade project. This is a dynamic role that requires creativity, strong leadership, and a passion for delivering high-quality meals.
Menu Planning:
Develop innovative and diverse menus that cater to a range of tastes and dietary preferences while ensuring nutritional balance and quality.
Food Preparation:
Oversee food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling. Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety. Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation.
Control food and labour costs within budgetary constraints. Implement efficient kitchen practices to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume catering environment.
Extensive culinary skills and a creative approach to menu planning.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
Proficiency in managing food and labour costs while delivering exceptional quality.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Regular working hours (Monday to Friday) with weekends off.
