Job Description:

As a Lead Geospatial Developer, your expertise will shape our geospatial journey. If you're passionate about commodities and have a flair for leadership, this role is tailor-made for you. Your primary focus will be data analysis and visualization, application development, team leadership, project management, and global travel and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Visualization:

Lead the analysis, interpretation, and visualization of geospatial data related to coffee, cocoa, and other commodities.

Harness tools like QGIS, Python, and JavaScript to create insightful and interactive maps and data visualizations.

Develop machine learning models and pixel classification algorithms for agriculture applications.

Application Development:

Create and maintain web-based applications using React and other JavaScript frameworks to present geospatial data in an accessible, user-friendly manner.

Ensure seamless integration of geospatial applications with existing systems and databases.

Team Leadership:

Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align geospatial analysis with business objectives.

Project Management:

Lead and manage geospatial projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand and meet their geospatial analysis needs.

Global Travel and Client Interaction:

Travel to client sites and commodity sources worldwide to gather data and insights, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of geospatial analyses.

Represent the company professionally and establish positive relationships with clients and partners.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geospatial Sciences, GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.

2-3 years of relevant work experience in geospatial analysis.

Fluency in QGIS, React, Python, and JavaScript.

Demonstrated interest in leadership and team management.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to travel internationally.

️ Spanish Language understanding would be advantageous but not required.

Work Arrangements:
