England, United Kingdom EMIS Full time

Here at EMIS, we have a truly exciting opportunity for two Product Managers to join our highly capable and talented EMIS-X product team on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting time to join us as a business as we continue to grow. You will play a significant part in delivering the entire product lifecycle of our EMIS-X products that are shaping the next evolutionary stage in healthcare technology using cloud-based technologies such as AWS.

As a Product Manager you will be driving the quality and vision of our products, with extensive experience of developing and managing technology based products through understanding customer insights and stakeholder requirements.

If you want to be part of a company where you are valued and a role that allows you to see your contribution come to life improving current and future health outcomes through product management, then apply today

Our Product Manager positions are remote working, however our product team meet monthly for collaborative sessions.

What you’ll do

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the entire product lifecycle of key strategic products hosted on AWS technology. You will be able to work on innovative technology that may be used for interoperability, healthcare innovation; and prediction of treatment optimisation, utilisation and costs. Not only can this improve people’s health and lives, but it could create significant efficiencies for the NHS.

Collaboration is key at EMIS, as a Product Manager you will work proactively with colleagues in the product team, development teams, and internal stakeholders. Your role will be to oversee refinement of the product management backlog, defining Epics and refining features to create a stable product roadmap which maintains a strategic focus in line with customer & stakeholder requirements.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Accountability for the end-to-end product lifecycle management.
  • Manage in-life performance to ensure commercial and operational success through the evolution of the product, making prioritisation calls to balance roadmap and opportunity-led demands.
  • Build compelling Product Strategy and Plans that you can successfully manage through the entire product lifecycle and be comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
  • Product development – regular engagement with users and stakeholders throughout the software lifecycle to ensure the creation of products and features that delight our users and solve real challenges and problems facing our customers.

Who you’ll be

You will be an experienced product professional who has had previous exposure to managing products that are cloud-based or software as a service platform. Working closely with development teams previously, you will have experience of interpreting functional specifications into technical requirements.

You will have a passion for innovation and developing products through the entire product life cycle. Being inquisitive, you will understand the needs of our customers and internal stakeholders to deliver the product roadmap to the market and the wider business.

Having delivered success in an agile environment, you will have a proven record of grasping the product element and drive integration. Collaboration is essential; you will be able to demonstrate previous experience of engaging with product, technologists and operational teams where you’re the focal point for the product.

Technical skills we are looking for you to demonstrate include;

  • A demonstrable track record of creating successful, high-quality products and services.
  • Experience with digital products and liaising closely with technologists.
  • Outstanding relationship building and people skills, with the ability to present sometimes complex problems in a clear and concise way.
  • Knowledge of software deployment or interoperability standards would be advantageous.
