GXO are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our B&Q site in Blyth – S81 8PU. You will lead a high performing team of flexible and engaged colleagues, focusing on delivering operational excellence at all times.
This is a full time, 6-month secondment position, where you’ll be working on a ‘4 on 4 off shift’ pattern. The working hours will rotate weekly between 07:00 – 17:00 and 13:00 – 23:00.
You’ll also receive 26 days annual leave (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of the warehouse operatives, providing effective communication, leadership, succession planning, motivation, training and development
Support the FLMs in achieving the warehouse/transport operational KPIs and service levels, whilst driving improvement initiatives across the site
Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities
Experience of working within a fast-paced warehouse environment
Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office
