Venn Group are working with a banking institution in London seeking to expand its Credit Department. As a Credit Portfolio Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of intricate Project Finance Loan transactions. This role involves managing waiver requests and variations, monitoring risk, assigning appropriate credit grades, and handling various administrative tasks such as KYC (Know Your Customer), documentation, and covenant compliance.
This role would greatly benefit from the role holder having a clear understanding of and exposure to deals pertaining to Project Finance.
Analyse and review information related to construction, technical and operational reports, customer financial statements, and project finance financial models.
Perform due diligence and ensure loans are administered in accordance with financial and legal documentation.
Prepare associated applications and maintain credit grades.
Communicate effectively with internal departments (Credit, Syndications, Operations) and external entities, including clients, technical and legal advisers, and agency functions at other institutions.
Provide portfolio management by overseeing transactions post-financial close, handling both analysis and administrative tasks.
Lead discussions with stakeholders and maintain appropriate credit grades.
Conduct customer-facing activities, including gathering KYC and due diligence information, and attending customer site visits.
Interface with Agent banks, technical, legal, and financial advisers.
Collaborate with internal departments, including Origination teams, Credit Department, Operations, Compliance, and colleagues in Nikko and other regions.
Strong knowledge of Project Finance theory, practice, documentation, and financial models.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to review and analyse detailed financial and technical reports.
Experience in maintaining credit vigilance, applying policy, and supporting the achievement of key performance indicators.
This role does not have direct reports but involves training and supporting colleagues with internal processes.
While there is no specific budget for this role, the primary responsibility is to maintain credit vigilance over the portfolio, support regulatory compliance, and mitigate credit costs/losses.
