We are seeking a responsible and experienced Transport Supervisor - Driver to manage our transport operations. This role involves driving, coordinating logistics, maintaining vehicles, scheduling routes, and overseeing the transportation team.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Driving Duties :

  • Safely transport equipment to designated locations.
  • Operate and maintain our vehicle fleet in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of equipment.

Transport Coordination :

  • Plan and schedule daily delivery and transport routes for drivers.
  • Assign vehicles and drivers to specific routes based on delivery requirements, efficiency, and driver availability.
  • Ensure clear communication with team members regarding delivery times and any delays.

Fleet Management :

  • Regularly inspect vehicles for maintenance and safety checks.
  • Coordinate and schedule vehicle maintenance, repairs, and servicing.
  • Keep up-to-date vehicle logs and transportation records.

Compliance & Safety :

  • Ensure all drivers adhere to safety standards, legal requirements, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety training for drivers and provide updates on best practices.
  • Manage driver schedules, time-offs, and shift rotations.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Hold a valid C1 CPC or be willing to obtain.
  • Experience as a driver and in logistics/transportation coordination.
  • Knowledge of transportation laws, safety regulations, and fleet management practices.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, transport management systems).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings or holidays when necessary.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in the live events industry.
  • Certification in logistics or fleet management.
  • Experience managing a team of drivers or transport staff.
